What Is Colon Cancer?

Small growths (polyps) can develop inside the colon. While most will not become cancerous, some polyps might develop abnormal cells which grow out of control.

Colon cancer doesn't usually cause symptoms. It is also one of the most preventable cancers. Through regular screening, our doctors can find colon polyps early — before they become cancerous or before cancer has spread. If colon cancer is found early, it is easily treated.
