Robert Jones, MD
I was born in the Philippines, but grew up in Northern California and Brooklyn, New York. I attended college in North Carolina. I’d always been interested in learning about biology and exploring how the body works. After college, I decided to share that passion as a middle school science teacher. What I learned from my students changed the course of my career. They taught me about the unmet health needs in the community, and that inspired me to pursue medicine. As a clinician, I’m able to serve my community as a healer while continuing to be an educator and advocate. In medical school, I helped start a new course on African American Health and Health Disparities. I married my medical school sweetheart and we are blessed with a wonderful son. I’ve lived in Seattle for over 10 years and consider it home. With my background in public health, I was excited to join Kaiser Permanente and be part of a group that’s focused on quality care at a systems level.
