Foundation Gift Funds
Group Health's strength comes from strong relationships with members, staff, volunteers and community partners. The Foundation creates opportunities for those already invested in Group Health to step up and become donors — a very personal and generous way to contribute to everything Group Health stands for and achieves.
The Group Health Foundation supports and operates more than 100 funds that benefit Group Health members and our community. Donors have the option to designate their gifts to many departments and programs at Group Health, or to the Critical and Emergent Needs Fund which also serves the broader community. Below is a brief overview of our various giving categories.
Additional information about what funds you can support can be obtained by contacting us at firstname.lastname@example.org or 206-448-7330.
Critical and Emergent Needs Fund
This fund supports the Partnership for Innovation, which provides funds for pilot tests proposed by front-line staff to explore new approaches to improve patient care and reduce costs for patients. This fund also supports the Childhood Immunization Initiative which aims to protect all children in Washington state against dangerous diseases.
Funds That Enhance Patient Care at Group Health
Donors can designate gifts to specific departments such as hospice, sponsored care or cardiology. In the last five years, these funds have provided breast pumps for low-income mothers and infants, transportation for seniors, vision screenings for the homeless, hundreds of books for children at our Everett and Northgate medical centers, and much more.
Funds That Strengthen Group Health Medical Centers and Service Areas
Donor gifts can be designated to one of Group Health's medical centers to be used to meet urgent needs. These funds have purchased wheelchairs, specialized scales, specialty medical equipment, patient-teaching tools for our medical centers, and much more.
