Clear Your Cache

While Group Health is committed to protecting the privacy and security of people using this website, there is an easy additional security step you can take.

If you want to make sure prying eyes can't see confidential information that's been on your computer, you should clear your computer's cache after every session.

The cache is a collection of web pages you've recently visited. The browser saves the pages in a list that can be reviewed, such as your history list. The cache then helps pages reload faster when you return to them.

Clearing the cache will increase the security and privacy of your information because no one will be able to see your browsing history. This is important if you're using a public or shared computer.

We support the latest versions of Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Safari web browsers. This means that our site looks and performs best in these commonly used browsers. We recommend keeping your browser up-to-date to ensure you have the latest security enhancements.

  • If you use Internet Explorer 7, go to the Tools menu and choose "Delete Browsing History." Then click Delete beside temporary internet files, cookies, and history. In the same box, you also should delete any data saved from online forms or passwords you entered.
  • If you use Internet Explorer 8, go to the Tools menu and choose "Delete Browsing History." Check the boxes beside temporary internet files, cookies, and history, and then click Delete. In the same box, you also should delete any data saved from online forms or passwords you entered.
  • If you use Firefox, go to the Tools menu and choose "Clear Recent History." In the Clear Recent History dialog box, select "Everything" as the time range. Under details in the same box, select "cache," "browsing and download history," and "cookies." Then click Clear Now.
  • If you use Safari, go to the Safari menu and click "Empty Cache." In the confirmation dialog box, click Empty.
